Lazy Days

have you ever seen a cuter bunch of colella boys?
i love lazy weekend afternoons when we head out on the golf cart and go down to look at the river.
this girl is too silly...
this boy is too sweet....
can you see what she is trying to sneak up on?  look closely under the tree line...
the boys, chillaxin'
oh hey, i wanna be in the picture too!
on one of our golf cart outings, roman wanted to go see mady at her house, but we told him no.  not 5 minutes later, we passed them on their golf cart and they got a chance to be silly for a minute.
and then, on our way home...we passed this.  just in someone's yard.  you never know what you're gonna see in downtown bluffton!
one night, while poppa was away on business, i took the kids up to fat patties for their homemade ice cream.  boy, was it delicious!  can you guess who got which flavor?
okay, maybe this gives it away.

crazy hair, don't care!

Muffins with Mom

every year for mother's day, gianna's school has muffins with mom.  it is super cute to see them in their "natural environment" and they love to show us their classroom and what they do all day.

gianna and her friend emma are just two peas in a pod.   the eyes...oh boy.

First Holy Communion

forgive me father, for i am not catholic.

so, in all fairness, i really am along for this ride along with my kids.  this is the second sacrament this year for roman, the first being Reconciliation (confession for those that don't speak catholic).

actually, this one is easy to figure out.  First Holy Communion.  this is the first time that roman is receiving the body and blood of Christ.  with all of his classmates and about 100 others.

my boys, getting ready...
we were having a few friends over after the ceremony, and our friend sherri made this cake.  it is a tradition in her family to make a lamb cake and i think it looks great!!!
aren't our kiddos just the cutest?
hey there, handsome!
come on, mom...more pictures?
i'm not real sure what i did to deserve these two, but i'm forever grateful.
it's finally his turn to head up the aisle.
almost there...
monsignor cellini

after the boys ripped their suits off, they were in the yard, playing baseball!
another friend had this cake made with the boys names around the bottom.
oh, and it was logan's birthday too, so we all got to sing to him.
God is good.

Disney {Day 3}

our last day at disney started off at hollywood studios.   what a fun place to see all the characters that we are used to seeing on our screens!
we aren't even into star wars (??), but seeing the storm troopers was pretty cool.

they would not stop and take pictures, so this was the best we got!
gianna got to meet some of her favorite disney junior characters, like sofia the first.
and jake, from jake and the neverland pirates.
and we found minnie again!
doc mcstuffins was there too!

and then we all headed into the air conditioned theatre (ahhhh!) for the frozen sing-a-long
even this guy was happy to be there.
it even snowed!
mimi sang along too
i have to admit.  i have no idea what ride this is.  i just know that it was in hollywood studios and they boys rode it.  and apparently had fun.  or were scared.  i can't tell.

so long, hollywood!
we headed back to the magic kingdom in search of our favorite sisters...elsa and anna!
and we found them.  gianna was mesmerized.

our last ride all together was splash mountain.  we had a few in the front that were all about it...and a few in the back that were NOT.  in the end, everyone was happy they went and gianna has talked about it ever since.  it was her favorite ride ever.

then, mimi and aunt maddy had to catch a plane to go back home, so we said our goodbyes...
and maybe, we were a little bit silly.
our little family of four stuck around for a few more hours and we got to ride the goofy roller coaster in the dark!
and the castle all lit up so pretty.
while we waited for the fireworks show, the kiddos were cracking me up.
gianna was trying to pretend that she was asleep, but she couldn't stop laughing.
so, roman showed her how it is done.
okay, much more convincing, right?
the fireworks were the perfect end to our trip.  so beautiful and magical.
see ya next time, disney!
