The Space "Shubble", Waterslides, Horses & Swords!

our first real "family" vacation. we went to florida with roman this weekend. we didn't go to visit anyone...nobody else came along. just us. it was kinda cool. we had a really great time and roman did too. check out our million pictures below....

it was super crowded where we were set up to watch the shuttle launch
see the dude behind the white truck...he fell in the lagoon up to his chest!
lots more people were out on these docks! i probably would have worn a life jacket in case it collapsed....or just not gone at all cuz i'm claustrophobic like that.
kennedy space center
the boy getting a bird's eye view...
***note, no pictures of the actual launch because we took a video instead***
if i can figure out how to get pics from the video, i'll post one later

on to Aquatica. Sea World has a waterpark, it was definitely tame, but that was what we were looking for so that little man could actually have fun.
this was a tank with commerson dolphins in it that a waterslide actually goes through. toby went down the slide. ro & i watched.
he wouldn't take his eyes off the dolphins, but he did say cheese!
he loved watching them

heading out into the pool with poppa
having a snack, poolside
you don't think he was having fun, do ya?
well, maybe just a little
i think toby had more fun on this one...

ahhh, refreshing!
kisses for poppa

now down a slide all by himself...he was so brave!
slipping a little, but that's what makes you go fast...
then, after a nap, we went to medieval times. don't you love our crowns?
take that, you evil knight!
lord roman with his sword
lasering some random knight with his sword
lords toby and roman
okay, so do you think he liked the sword?
this is the official sword stance...one foot forward
last one of the sword, i promise
our red knight vs. the evil green knight
all the horses and knights coming out
he was mesmerized
our red knight won his battle
oooh, the nice people at the hotel left us some special treats
yook, momma, a special treat!
yay!
so sad to leave. he had this face on until we told him we would stop and get him a "kid's meal"...aka hash browns from McDs!!!!

what a great time and many wonderful memories made.

My Day

today was my day. in every sense of the word. mother's day. ahhh, i think it might be my favorite day all year. i got to sleep in, then go to brunch, then some shopping at target, then a nap...then my husband cooked me dinner and then we had smore's. um, really? honestly, could there be a better day?

the reason i get to celebrate mother's day...

that's right, close your eyes, enjoy the juice. the little things in life. as usual, blowin' some bubbles finally, a picture with mom on her day. did i mention the sleeping in, and the nap? notice i didn't mention anything about a shower or makeup in there. hence, the lovely appearance... i hope all you mothers had a wonderful day too!

Cross Eyed Goofball

it all started out innocently enough. just havin' a snack.

yummy pretzels...and then...
there was this.
is this when you learn to cross your eyes?
so serious about it. he even put his pretzel down.
ha ha
did you notice his chocolate milk moustache? that makes it even funnier to me!

We Love Visitors

we haven't seen mommom since christmas! ugh! thank goodness she made the trek down this weekend. it was some much needed time with her.

hanging out by the fire on friday night after dinner

it got a little chilly she loves her romeo yes that is lunch. yes he is still in his pajamas. yes he is eating with "chopstips". sitting on mommom's lap is better than sitting alone ariah came to visit and ro was nice enough to push her on his schoolbus scoot scoot i'm not sure what ariah was doing...neither does roman
no naps...peeps are tired. what is roman doing with his tongue? he kept doing that all weekend!
roman still had no nap. momma, on the other hand, snoozed a little, hence the smile. sorry there aren't any more pictures. it rained all weekend and we spent most of our time inside. oh well, it was fun anyway because mommom was here!

Don't Laugh

mom came down this weekend, so i gave her her mother's day gift a little early. i call these the pants "only a mother could love". i found the pattern in a book i received for my birthday. they are called "wide leg lounge pants". my version looks more like clown bell bottoms.

well, she loved them anyway. that's what moms are for, right?
would you wear these?

missi wanted a small wallet for her birthday. is this small enough? i made two and gave one to mom too. missi got me those awesome labels for my birthday...nice huh?
it's small enough for your i.d., a credit card and some cash...what more does a girl need?
