To The Beach

after our first two stops, we headed down to mommom's house. she doesn't live too far from the beach, so we decided to swing down for a little while and ride some rides, play some games, eat some lunch and have a snack. since we live at the beach, you would think we go all the time, but since i really don't like the 3 S's....salt, sand and sweat, we really don't go a whole lot. roman also freaks out when sand gets on his feet and in his shoes. so, when i told him we were going to the beach, he said "but, sand will get in my crocs!" that's my boy! also, our beach down here has no boardwalk, so it is nothing like rehoboth. we decided roman needed to get a good taste of the beach we grew up with.

horse racing game his first ride at the beach. this ride was surprisingly fast, so i'm glad that toby rode with him he loved the fire engine ride and would ring the bell everytime he passed us! planes with guns. boy heaven....and a motorcycle too... the boat had a bell too. i think that was his favorite part.then he took a helicopter ride with mommom teacups with poppa. i was so afraid he would inherit my motion sickness, especially for "spinny" rides, but i think he did just fine! another ride in a buggy mommom and ro took a hot air balloon ferris wheel ride look at all the prizes he won!can you say "holy sprinkles, batman!" ? ice cream makes this little guy a happy camper! back to mommom's house. mommom and kinley needed a push on the swing. a ride on the mower, he's got this steering thing down! i think they rode around for quite a while. fun times! we had such a good time at mommom's, but unfortunately, we had to go. we left on friday morning and headed to a hotel. we got there just in time to get a little dinner and take a swim before bed.

he loves the water here he goes! oooohhhh yeah! i can't believe our vacation is over already! back to real life. well, at least we have something to look forward to, our next vacation is in september when we go to Disney! woo hoo!

and bounce a little on the trampoline then a visit with grandpa after we picked up aunt maddy from work, we headed up to dutch wonderland (or as roman calls it...neverland)

first up, a ride on the choo choo
then a leisurely boat ride can you believe that my little man was brave enough to get on the log flume? crazy....success!AND...the rollercoaster! bumper cars! in the buggy with aunt maddy wheee!giddy up! ribbit, ribbit...they convinced mimi to go on the log flume! around and around they go... look out everyone, somebody's got a gun! we had such a great time hanging out with mimi and aunt maddy and popo too!

Mish Mash

after our disappointing fire a few weeks ago...or should i say smoke pit...toby made it his mission to make a good fire this time around. with our next set of visitors, the tate's, here, the challenge was on!
